Oriole Park

Located within the Norwood Park community area, Oriole Park is a small neighborhood on Chicago's far northwest side that is made up of mostly single-family ranch and raised ranch homes, many built around the neighborhood's namesake eighteen-acre park.  The park is a big draw for homebuyers in search of a community-oriented setting with ample outdoor recreation space including several athletic fields, a playground and sandbox, a paved jogging trail, and numerous programs and special events offered through the Chicago Park District.

Oriole Park is bordered by the I-90 to the north, Foster Ave to the south, Harlem Avenue to the east, and Canfield Avenue to the west.

The Oriole Park Library is located on Balmoral Avenue next to Oriole Park School. It operates under the Chicago Public Library.  Oriole Park Elementary School is located on Oketo and Balmoral Avenues and is the only school in the area.

Tall trees edge the gradually curving streets and occupy the yards in the Oriole Park neighborhood, giving it a slightly more suburban feel than most other areas of the city. One thing that Oriole Park has that the suburbs don't, though, is easy access to downtown via the Blue Line.
